The saying goes, fake it till you make it. For a long time I've agreed with the saying but just this past week I attended a meeting that made me think otherwise. To 'fake it' is not really faking because you are in essence exerting this energy from within. Confidence starts within. It should be nurtured from within, I find that if I rely on a source outside of myself for reassurance or a confidence boost it often falls short. This happens when I've overwhelmed myself with all the things I'm going to achieve in my life and for a moment, (some longer than others) I slip and catch myself wondering will it happen? Can I do it? Obviously its already been achieved because the dream was mine the minute I decided so but sometimes I lose my confidence.

It takes me looking within to find and rebuild it. Istudy myself and I remember all the amazing things about me. I remember why I started. Mirror self affirmations as previous posts have mentioned are used. It takes concerted effort, a realigning and monitoring of my thoughts, emotions and actions. I draw the energy from within and realise myself back into the confident woman I know I am. This not only boosts the confidence, but, assures that the foundation of my confidence is in me. There will be no need for me to look else where.

It gets easier each time I slip and in tough times I use two things: reflection, as it shows me how far I've come and reminds me of all the reasons I started. I also day dream, I see myself into the life I'm going to live and when I say daydream I mean I dream boldly. I realise myself into my dreams achieved. This is usually a big enough kick for me to dust myself off and get back on track with the hustle. I really hope this makes sense to you all, don't fake it till you make it, the minute you feel an incling of doubt look within to remind yourself that what you need is inside of you.
